Continental is working man's rock and roll. Literally. Like most these days, simply being a musician doesn't pay the bills. So, father and son Rick and Stephen Barton paint houses when they're not on the road to make ends meet and maybe more importantly to keep the band and music going. Although Rick is very well-known in certain circles for his songwriting and production on projects such as Everybody Out!, Street Dogs and FM359, he has probably made his biggest impact as guitarist and founding member of Dropkick Murphys.

Drongos for Europe formed in 1979 in Birmingham England, playing early gigs with mates GBH, Dead Wretched and the Varukers amd charted at around 47 in the national UK charts in 1982. The band split in 1985 - reformed in 88 - carried on and off until the mid 90's never actually splitting up but not doing anything either. The band kicked things off again for real in 1999 for a gig with GBH and the UK Subs. Drongos for Europe are currently one of the hottest bands in the UK gigging and touring more than most bands from the eighties.
