NEW DEADLINE are back with their brand new single ‘Black Tree’ as the first precur- sor of their upcoming album out on Redfield Records in early 2018. The band from Lahti, Finland that toured with FUNERAL FOR FRIEND in Germany, supported bands like RISE AGAINST, ALL TIME LOW and TAKING BACK SUNDAY to promote 2015’s full-length ‘Remember’ also got wider notice with showcases at last year’s Reeperbahn Festival in Germany.
Jonas Aaltio, vocalist of NEW DEADLINE, describes the meaning and story behind the single the following: “‘Black Tree’ was one of the first songs we wrote for the new al- bum. It's one of our faster songs and an awesome live track. The punch line ‘disagree- ing does not make an enemy’, is a note to remember the role of communication and mutual respect and has shaped up to be one of the core sentences that cuts through the whole new material.” ‘Black Tree’ as well as the rest of the new record was pro- duced in Finland and mixed by Romesh Dodangoda (MOTÖRHEAD, BRING ME THE HORIZON, FUNERAL FOR A FRIEND, BULLET FOR MY VALENTINE, LOWER THAN ATLANTIS) in the United Kingdom.
