Nachdem er drei Jahre überwiegend nur mit der Gitarre im Gepäck tourte, geht der Folk-Punk-Vagabund Pascal Briggs jetzt mit neuer Band und festem Line-up and den Start. PASCAL BRIGGS & THE STOKERS stehen für einen facettenreichen Sound, der neben dem britischen und amerikanischen Punk auch stark vom 70er Jahre Rock beeinflusst ist, manchmal auch mit Blues- und Surf-Elementen angereichert....
After years of performing as a solo artist, including loose collaborations with many fellow musicians and winning over audiences all throughout Europe, Pascal Briggs has now got a full on band on the go: The Stokers!
Their dirty Garage Folk Punk is often more driving than Pascal’s acoustic stuff, but remains absolutely unique and unpredictable. And while a haunting harmonica will drag you into an old Sergio Leone movie at one point, these rock'n`roll gypsies will come up with a two minute Punk Rock smasher that will knock you off your feet next. After their baptism by fire as a live band in early July 2010, Pascal Briggs & The Stokers released their first record – a 6-song-each split LP/CD with the Californian legends Sean Wheeler (Throw Rag/Charley Horse) and Zander Schloss (Circle Jerks/Die Hunns) – in February 2011 and then set off to tour Europe.
The band also played their first UK show at the Rebellion festival in Blackpool in August 2011 and will appear again on the Bizarre Bazaar Stage this year...
